Valparaiso

A drunken boat, a city that has always been held in balance on itself. The Pacific Ocean watches over it and borders it. Yet here the earth trembles, the ocean breathes, loudly. Valparaíso is always reborn and continues its ascent up the hills of a vast bay that contains it. A natural amphitheatre on the ocean, a Babel was founded in the 16th century. Here have stopped and crossed so many sailors from all over the world, people dazzled, fascinated bewitched by the power of the territory and its fragility; receptacles of glances posed towards the rest of the world.
